For Damaged hair use up to 2-3x per week So, whether you’re post-salon primping or simply working on your hair perfection– it’s time for the take home portion of the Olaplex system, No.3. If build-up is present such as oils, silicones, or too much product, give the hair a light shampoo and towel dry thoroughly and proceed with applying the No.3. You can use it on dry hair as well, it will just take a little more product in order to fully saturate the hair. So, the choice is up to personal preference with that in mind. Steps Step 1: Apply a generous amount to towel-dried hair and comb through. Step 2: Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes. Keep in mind, the longer it’s on, the more effective it is, especially for hair that is compromised. We’ve seen great results from people who leave it on 30 to 90 minutes! Step 3: Rinse, shampoo and condition. Remember, this is NOT a conditioning treatment OR a leave-in treatment. It is meant to be shampooed out of the hair and followed up with your regular shampoo/condition regimen. Step 4: Voila! Style as you normally would. Show your hair some love! You can do this treatment once a week at home regardless of whether or not you color your hair.
